As I was sitting focusing on the things I was thankful for I felt the emotion rise in me and the tears flow. This made we wonder what is gratitude? I have often stated that it is the energy of gratitude that attracts abundance. If that is the case, and I believe it is, then how do we use this universal law?
This truly made me see the difference between sitting and saying thank you and listing the things we are grateful for and actually being grateful. Okay, so being grateful is a lot more than saying thank you.

Energy works on intent, on the heart, so if we sit and focus on a list of things to be grateful for, I don’t believe this is enough to create the abundance. We have to BE grateful. There is little point to expect abundance if we are talking gratitude but really in the heart feeling overwhelmed (fear), worried (fear), resentful (fear), angry (fear), victimized (fear) and the list goes on, about our circumstances.

This can be hard when life tends to crowd in on us, but if we want our circumstances to change we have to change something. Gratitude does not seem to come as easy as

grumbling does. My energy is something I can control so I tend to start there. I have many times spoken gratitude but not been grateful and this just does not work. The energy we use to attract has to come from who we are.

Being grateful attracts abundance in all areas, health, finances, relationships.

Being grateful reduces negativity and helps us think more clearly when we are not being buffeted by fear.

I encourage you to list the things in your life you struggle with and then focus on them and find something in the situation to be grateful for. Be determined to look at it from different angles. What is in our life is here for a reason.

Gratitude helps us keep things in perspective and be present. It reminds us not to take others for granted and to acknowledge them.

I wish you a life of love, laughter and deep gratitude.

Exercise - No complaints, gossip or criticism

I was reading on the internet this exercise which was 21 days of no complaints, gossips, or criticisms. Wow, I thought that is a long time but a powerful exercise. It used a bracelet and everytime one complained they had to switch the bracelet to the other wrist and start from day one again.
As I restart again after complaining to Charley that she is always under my feet as I fall over her, I decide to be grateful for the bond I have with this beautiful dog, how lovely it is she wants to always be close to me and start again.
I challenge you to join me in this 21 day quest. At the end of 21 days, I probably won’t need the bracelet to remember and neither will you.
